Doug Aldrich is considered one of the most respected guitarists in the world and can look back on an impressive career with legendary bands. The DA 100 is Doug Aldrich's first signature amp and is based on the HT Stage 100 MKIII, but with a few adjustments. The OD Voice has been adjusted so that when activated, the amp delivers a vintage hot-rodded Plexi punch. In addition, the midrange has been modified to deliver more punch when playing power chords. The effects loop can be activated using the included five-way switch, and the length of the effects' decay time can be set using the free Architect software and stored in the amplifier. The DA100 also features a power reduction to 10% of the amplifier's rated power and BLACKSTAR's patented ISF control for the OD channels. The amplifier is rounded off by an XLR D.I. output and BLACKSTAR's CabRig speaker simulation, with three specially developed Doug Aldrich patches.
